Wondering what sort of things you can accomplish with Dundas Chart? Check out the World War II Timeline demo.

The World War II Timeline demo makes innovative use of Dundas Chart to present a detailed timeline of events during World War II. You can easily filter the events by each side of the conflict (Axis and Allies), and you can click to see events from each year of the war (1939 through 1945).

The timeline display is generated dynamically using the standard Dundas Chart for ASP.NET 6.0 using events from an XML data file and custom graphics.

About the Downloads

The TimelineRS.zip file contains the C# source code (and a project for building a Reporting Services DLL). The source code will work with Dundas Chart 6.0 for ASP.NET or Reporting Services.

The Timeline Sample.zip file contains the compiled TimeLine add-on, and the Reporting Services .rdl file for the Timeline demo.

While you might not be able to use this code directly in your projects, it will serve as a valuable resource for using TextAnnotation objects and Dundas Chart in an unusual way.
